"June"

I decided to stay up late tonight so I can finally finish some of the posts that I've started. I have been really lazy for some reason about blogging and picture taking, so I will try to get back on track and catch up on things. June has been a crazy busy month for us, so I will try to remember some of the highlights...

The first weekend of June we had the first Hutchins/Bankhead reunion. Kevin's Aunt Sharon and all of her children came down w/ their kiddos and we had a blast. We don't get to see Kevin's cousins that often, so we were so happy to be able to get everyone together.

All the kiddos in matching outfits-in case you are wondering it was impossible to get 7 children to look at the camera at the same time! From left to right: Johnathan, Mallory, Julia, Morgan, Hunter, Hannah, and Kaitlyn

Since Hunter and Hannah's favorite thing right now seems to be the water and pools aka "poo" as Hunter calls it we decided to get one for the yard. We put their little slide into it and they had a blast. They also recently started swim lessons on Mondays and Thursdays. We are having our 3rd session tomorrow, and unfortunately I have yet to get any pictures. Katy and Adalee are in the class with us so that makes it even more fun. The first day Katy's mom volunteered to help me out (there has to be one adult per child in the water). Neither one of them were crazy about it the first day-I think it was just the combination of being in a new surrounding and not knowing Katy's mom but we got through it. Thank you Sandy for being so patient!! The next time Kevin's dad volunteered to go with us and it went much better. We had taken them to the big pool at our neighborhood clubhouse for some "practice lessons" in between so I think they were more warmed up to the idea by then, and it may have had something to do with their "Paw Paw" being there with them too! Here are some pics of their little play pool, I am going to try really hard to somehow get some at their swimming lessons.....

I also had my 10 year high school reunion the beginning of June. I wasn't planning on going, but after some coaxing from my friends I decided to last minute. I still am pretty close with a lot of my girlfriends from high school, but we don't get a chance to see each other very often so it was fun to hang out with the girls again! I am definitely glad I went, but I'm even more excited about our 20 year reunion-that should be interesting...........................

Still to come: our trip to the Frio last week.......................................
